• HomePod, HomePod Mini, or Apple TV as a Home hub required.
• Recording to Apple iCloud requires a 200GB iCloud storage plan.
• It is possible to use the camera with both the Apple Home app and the Aqara app if you choose to do so.
• Apple Home does not support pan/tilt functions.
• The Aqara Camera E1 is fully functional using the Aqara app as well, available both on the App store and Google Play store.

Apple Home Notifications and Activity Zones

Set up your Aqara Camera E1 with the Apple Home app to receive motion-triggered notifications on your Apple devices, a fundamental security feature. But there’s more – Apple Home gives you the flexibility to customise these notifications. Choose to be alerted only for specific types of motion, such as when people, animals, or vehicles are detected. This feature significantly reduces false alarms, ensuring you’re not notified for minor movements like your curtains swaying.

In addition, the Aqara Camera E1 offers the functionality of activity zone tracking. This means you’ll get notifications only when motion involving people, animals, or vehicles is detected within a designated area of the camera’s view. This targeted approach to monitoring keeps you informed about the movements that matter most in your home.

Apple HomeKit-enabled Facial Recognition

The Aqara Camera E1, integrated with Apple HomeKit Secure Video, offers advanced facial recognition technology processed directly on your Apple device, not in the cloud. This feature allows the camera to identify faces from your iCloud Photo Library, enabling it to notify you when family members arrive home. This local processing ensures enhanced privacy and personalized security alerts, keeping you connected to your loved ones’ comings and goings.

• iOS/ iPadOS/ tvOS 14 or higher required for this functionality.

Apple Home Two-way Audio

Within the Apple Home app, the Aqara Camera E1 facilitates remote, instant voice communications. This feature is enhanced by its omnidirectional, noise-cancelling microphone, capable of picking up sound from distances up to 5 meters. The camera’s speaker ensures clear and effective communication. This combination of advanced audio features makes the Aqara Camera E1 a powerful tool for maintaining connectivity and communication in your home.
